The road services of the Nizhny Novgorod region have switched to an enhanced mode due to snow.

As reported by the GUAD, on certain sections of the roads, there is a buildup of ice, and in some places, there is black ice and loose snow. As of 12:00, precipitation continues in the southern and central areas and is gradually shifting north. The air temperature remains between -1 and -2 degrees. Currently, 56 road and four bridge organizations are involved in eliminating the consequences of the snowfall. A total of 277 units of equipment have been deployed, including combined road machines, snowplows based on KamAZ, MTZ tractors, and loaders. An additional 32 KDM remain in reserve. Furthermore, 649 road workers have been engaged in the efforts. During the night of April 20, 598 tons of anti-icing materials were used. The main tasks are processing the roadway and clearing the roads of snow. Traffic on regional and intermunicipal routes is ensured, and no traffic jams have been recorded. The condition of the road network is assessed as satisfactory, with no significant complaints from the traffic police, carriers, or district administrations. The State Institution of Nizhny Novgorod "GUAD" is conducting round-the-clock monitoring of the situation. Drivers are asked to adhere to speed limits and maintain distance.
