Residents of the Botalovo-4 microdistrict are being vaccinated against hepatitis A after the flooding.

      April 20, 2026 18:46 Society Residents of the Botalovo-4 microdistrict in the Bor urban district will be vaccinated due to flooding in the area. This was reported by the Bor Central District Hospital.

      The medical institution emphasized that the water supply and sewage systems are under constant control regardless of the levels of groundwater and meltwater. Regular laboratory tests of water in the centralized system have not revealed any deviations from the standards.

      Nevertheless, by order of Rospotrebnadzor, a decision has been made to conduct preventive immunization. This measure is planned and aimed at preventing possible sanitary and epidemiological risks.

      Vaccinations against viral hepatitis A are recommended for children aged 3 to 17 based on epidemiological indications. Vaccination will be carried out in kindergartens and schools after obtaining consent from legal representatives.

      Immunization is also indicated for adults aged 18 to 35 if there is no information about a previous illness or vaccination.

      In addition, vaccination is recommended for individuals under 50 from professional risk groups without information about previous hepatitis A, vaccination, or the presence of IgG antibodies. This includes employees in public catering, food industry, water supply and sewage services, food trade, healthcare workers, and service sector representatives.

      Adults can get vaccinated at Polyclinic No. 1 in Bor on weekdays from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM without prior appointment.

      Residents are advised to consume only boiled or bottled water and not to use water from wells and springs. Medical professionals also remind about the importance of personal hygiene rules.

      Earlier, it was reported that the Nizhny Novgorod region will purchase vaccines against diphtheria, whooping cough, and tetanus for 5.6 million rubles.
