Four people died in a fire near Nizhny Novgorod.

      On April 20, 2026, at 21:29, Incidents: Four people died in a fire in the village of Nizhgorodets in the Dalnekonstantinovsky district, reported the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      The fire occurred in two apartments on the second floor of a building on Lenin Street. The area of the fire was 80 square meters.

      Fourteen people were evacuated from the building. The identities of the deceased are being established.

      The cause of the incident is currently unknown. Investigators from the Ministry of Emergency Situations are looking into the details.

      Recall that on April 17, a 4-year-old child died in a fire in the Sechenovsky district. A criminal case is being investigated.
