Operation "Child Seat" is being carried out on the roads of Nizhny Novgorod.

      On April 18, 2026, at 17:34, the State Traffic Inspectorate of Nizhny Novgorod is conducting a large-scale campaign "Child Seat" to enhance road safety and prevent child injuries. This was announced by the press service of the agency.

      Traffic inspectors are stationed at busy road sections, especially near educational institutions, kindergartens, and places with large gatherings of people. Violations of child transportation rules often occur here. Special attention is paid to checking child restraint devices, such as car seats, boosters, and special belts, which must correspond to the child's age and weight.

      The traffic police also conduct explanatory conversations with drivers, emphasizing the importance of using these devices even for short trips. This helps raise drivers' awareness of child transportation rules and reduces the risk of accidents on the roads.

      Let us remind you that since the beginning of 2026, measures of responsibility for violating child transportation rules have been tightened in Russia.
