Nizhny Novgorod residents were invited to participate in the project "More than a journey to the youth capital."
April 18, 2026 17:09 Society Boys and girls from the Nizhny Novgorod region will be able to travel to Smolensk and Yelets to become bloggers, showcase these cities through the eyes of youth, and create content for documentary films. This is made possible by the Rosmolodyozh program "More than a Journey." Applications are accepted until May 10, 2026, on the project website "More than a Journey to the Youth Capital." Following the selection process, 75 individuals will embark on trips to cities that have been awarded the title "Youth Capital of Russia – 2026" and "City of Youth." The trip will take place as part of the national project "Youth and Children," implemented on the instruction of Russian President Vladimir Putin. The "More than a Journey" program aims to reveal the tourist appeal of the winning cities through content created by participants. The Youth Capital will host 50 winners, while 25 individuals will travel to the Lipetsk region. The outcome of the trips will be two documentary films. To participate in the selection, a creative task must be completed: tell about your home region on the social network "VKontakte" in one of the formats – photo, video, or text (300–500 words). The publication must include the hashtags #MoreThanAJourney and #MediaExpedition2026. A link to the publication and the choice of city (Smolensk or Yelets) must be indicated in the personal account. Works will be evaluated by experts among photographers, videographers, bloggers, and opinion leaders. Curators will assist in developing media plans for the expeditions. The results of the selection will be announced on May 24, 2026. NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" has a Telegram channel. Subscribe to stay updated on major events, exclusive materials, and timely information.
