Nizhny Novgorod residents can choose spaces for improvement in 2027.
On April 21, 2026, at 16:53 Society In Russia, a nationwide voting has started for public areas that are planned to be improved in 2027. This is part of the federal project "Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment" under the national project "Infrastructure for Life."
Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin noted that interest in such projects among residents has noticeably increased. If in 2021, 9.7 million people participated in the voting, by 2025 this number had risen to 16.6 million.
In the Nizhny Novgorod region, voting is available from April 21 to June 12, 2026. Residents are invited to choose public spaces in their municipalities. A total of 93 areas in 23 municipalities are up for voting, including Nizhny Novgorod along with the Kstovo district.
The Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Secretary of the regional branch of "United Russia" Gleb Nikitin, reminded that residents' opinions on the selection of facilities for improvement in the region have been taken into account since 2018. Since then, over 750 public spaces and more than three thousand courtyards have been updated in the region.
"I urge all residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region to take a few minutes and express which public spaces, in your opinion, need to be updated next year," the head of the region called.
All residents over the age of 14 can vote. This can be done on the platform zagorodsreda.gosuslugi.ru after authorization through "Gosuslugi."
To participate, you need to visit the website, click the "Vote" button, log in through "Gosuslugi," select your municipality and one area from the list, and then confirm your choice.
Since 2025, the national project "Infrastructure for Life" has been in effect in the country. It combines 11 federal projects and continues directions that were previously developed under the national projects "Housing and Urban Environment" and "Safe Quality Roads," as well as state programs of the Russian Federation.
Earlier, it was reported that public spaces in Nizhny Novgorod began to be improved as part of the FCGS program.
