A fire with four fatalities in Nizhny Novgorod has resulted in a criminal case.

      The tragedy occurred in the Dalenekonstantinovsky district on Monday, April 20. Two apartments on the second floor of a residential building caught fire. The bodies of four people were found in the ashes. Their identities are being established.

      Investigators examined the scene of the incident. A forensic examination and a fire-technical examination have been appointed to determine the causes of death and the fire's origin.

      The criminal case is being investigated under the article on causing death by negligence to two or more persons.

      Earlier, the Investigative Committee opened a case regarding the death of a four-year-old boy in the fire.
