Rospotrebnadzor: HiPP puree with rat poison is not supplied to Russia

April 21, 2026 10:13 Society HiPP baby food, in which rat poison was found in Austria, is not supplied to Russia. This was reported by Rospotrebnadzor. On April 19, Austrian police reported that a customer found traces of rat poison in one of the 190-gram jars of carrot and potato puree. It is not ruled out that the substance could have been added intentionally. After this, the product was recalled from stores in Austria, as well as in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. According to Rospotrebnadzor, there has been no official information from European supervisory authorities about the detection of the hazardous substance and possible supplies to the Russian Federation. This includes notifications through the RASFF system and the international INFOSAN network. The agency sent a request to LLC "Hipp Rus." The company confirmed that the vegetable puree "Carrot-Potato" in glass jars, produced at the "Hipp GmbH & Co. Produktion Kb" factory in Germany, is not imported to the Russian market. Rospotrebnadzor also checked all registration and information databases. The company is currently conducting an investigation into the incident that occurred in Austria, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia. Rospotrebnadzor recommends taking this information into account when traveling abroad and not purchasing the specified puree there. Earlier, Rospotrebnadzor reported a temporary suspension of the circulation of the enteral mixture "Innovanta Standard/Energy" produced by LLC "SHELDONPHARMA" on the territory of Russia.
