      April 17, 2026 12:00 Politics The vacant mandate of the deputy of the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Duma has been transferred to the chief physician of GKB No. 29 in Nizhny Novgorod, Yulia Garevskaya. This was reported by the regional election commission. The chairwoman of the regional election commission, Margarita Andreeva, presented Garevskaya with the certificate of the elected deputy. The mandate became vacant after the United Russia member Andrey Meli prematurely resigned, becoming the head of the Pochinkovsky district. It was previously reported that the former mayor of Nizhny Novgorod, Vadim Bulavinov, would not participate in the elections to the State Duma.
