The application process for participation in the regional stage of the "Mom Entrepreneur" project has begun.

      April 17, 2026 15:21 Economy The acceptance of applications for participation in the regional stage of the program "Mom Entrepreneur" by the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia has begun. The program is being implemented with the support of the Union of Women of Russia as part of the national project "Effective and Competitive Economy."

      "The 'Mom Entrepreneur' program has been implemented since 2013, during which time 17,000 women have undergone training. This experience allows us to see several trends. First, the project has indeed become a springboard for many participants. Women are successfully developing their businesses, investors are finding them, and they are receiving support from other agencies and development institutions. Secondly, this is not just an acceleration program; it is a 'power place' for many women: here they can discuss family, child-rearing, and business development. Thirdly, every fourth participant in the program decides to have another child. Therefore, 'Mom Entrepreneur' is not only an economic program but also a social one," noted Deputy Minister of Economic Development Tatiana Ilyushnikova.

      Women with minor children or those on maternity leave can participate in the program. A mandatory condition is the presence of a business idea with real potential. Applications can also be submitted by those mothers who already have their own business, but it must not be older than three years.

      "After giving birth, many young mothers think about starting their own business, but often they lack practical experience and understanding of the first steps. The 'Mom Entrepreneur' program helps acquire the knowledge necessary at the start. During the program, participants will undergo an educational intensive under the guidance of certified trainers from the regional center 'My Business,' work on their projects, and prepare business plans for defense before an expert commission. The winner of the regional stage will receive a grant of 150,000 rubles from the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia and will be able to present the project at the federal stage of the competition," said the Minister of Industry, Trade, and Entrepreneurship of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Maxim Cherkasov.

      At the federal stage, the expert jury will select the best from the regional winners. Participants will have the opportunity to undergo advanced training in developing entrepreneurial competencies and compete for grants of 1 million, 500 thousand, and 250 thousand rubles.

      Training and project defense will take place in person. Participation in the program is free.

      The regional stage of the "Mom Entrepreneur" program will take place from August 10 to 14, 2026. Applications for participation are accepted until July 31 at the website: https://мамапредприниматель.рф/.
