      On April 17, 2026, at 13:11, Incidents: A four-year-old boy died in a fire in the Nizhny Novgorod region, reported the Investigative Committee of Russia for the region. The tragedy occurred in the village of Murzitsy in the Sechenovsky district on April 17. A private wooden house caught fire there. Two young children were taken to the hospital by ambulance. One died, and the other is receiving medical assistance.

      Investigators and forensic experts are working at the scene. Specialists are examining the damaged house and questioning witnesses. A criminal case has been initiated for causing death by negligence. A number of examinations have been appointed to establish the causes of the fire and the child's death.
