The second season of the "Search Commander School" is starting in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      Starting April 15, registration for participants of the second season of the "Search Commander School" begins in the Nizhny Novgorod region — a program for training management personnel for the search movement. The key innovation of the second season is the integration of the educational process with real search work. The program is organized by the government of the Nizhny Novgorod region, the Youth Center "Height," the Corporate University of the Nizhny Novgorod region government with the support of the All-Russian public movement "Search Movement of Russia." "Today, search work requires not only a desire to engage in it but also professional management. The 'Search Commander School' is a place where leaders capable of leading teams are prepared. The uniqueness of the second season lies in the complete integration of study with real search work. We provide not just knowledge but practical skills for commanders: from working with a probe to expedition logistics. This is a practice-oriented program that turns young leaders into professionals in the search field," said Svetlana Anufrieva, Minister of Youth Policy of the Nizhny Novgorod region. The second season's program is built on the successful experience of last year and is focused on practical results. The educational modules emphasize the practical skills necessary for field expeditions. Participants will study the legal foundations of search activities, leadership, and the psychology of field work, an advanced course in search skills — from search tactics and safety techniques to topography, navigation, and working with a probe and metal detector. Separate modules are dedicated to documentation and archival search, logistics, equipment, organization of daily life, communication, and medical support in the field camp, as well as financing and SMM for search teams. "The search movement in the Nizhny Novgorod region today needs not just participants in field work but competent leaders who can set tasks, be responsible for people and results. The second season of the 'Search Commander School' is our response to this request. We are purposefully forming a personnel reserve from which squad commanders, expedition leaders, and leaders of the search movement will emerge. This is an investment in the future of our collective memory," noted Alexander Ineshin, chairman of the regional branch of the All-Russian public organization for perpetuating the memory of those who died defending the Fatherland, "Search Movement of Russia" in the Nizhny Novgorod region. Young people aged 18 to 35 are invited to participate in the project — leaders and activists of search teams, volunteers, as well as anyone interested in search work and ready to undergo a competitive selection. As a result of the training, 10 outstanding graduates will have the opportunity to become interns or assistants to commanders in Nizhny Novgorod search teams, as well as receive recommendations for participation in federal projects of the Search Movement of Russia.

      The best participants of the program will go on an international search expedition "Western Front. Warsaw Highway" in the Kaluga region. This is a two-week field practice where future commanders will work side by side with experienced searchers. The ceremony for summarizing the results and awarding will take place as part of the regional patriotic forum "Tomorrow Depends on Us" in mid-September.
