The authorities have lifted the state of heightened readiness on Sloboda Pechery Street.

      April 16, 2026 14:20 Society The state of increased readiness has been lifted on Sloboda Pechery Street in Nizhny Novgorod. The corresponding decree has been published on the official website of the city administration. This concerns the area located on the Volga slope above the Holy spring of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God. Work was carried out in this area to repair the drainage and stormwater system. The special regime was introduced on June 29, 2024, for the duration of the necessary works. As of now, the repairs have been completed, and the restrictions in the area have been lifted. The state of increased readiness was officially canceled on March 19. This decision was made at a meeting of the commission for the prevention and elimination of emergencies and ensuring fire safety in Nizhny Novgorod.
