      April 16, 2026 14:40 Society A private house is drifting down the Oka River in the Nizhny Novgorod region. The footage, allegedly taken near the country hotel "Chaika," was shared by the public page "Interesting Nizhny Novgorod."

      Judging by the footage, an old wooden house with a partially destroyed extension ended up in the river. The likely cause was a powerful flood.

      According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, there have been no new flooding incidents in the region over the past 24 hours. On the contrary, three residential houses, 57 garden houses, 220 household plots, and one section of road have been freed from water in eight municipalities. Flooding has been recorded in 18 districts. There are no casualties or fatalities.

      Earlier, the regional forestry department showed a video of a fox escaping the flood by climbing a tree.
