According to Yuri Shalabaev, it is expected that more than 20,000 Nizhny Novgorod residents will participate in the clean-up day. "If more people come – that would be great! I also plan to participate, as always. Everyone who wishes can contact their districts, housing management offices, or the heads of their enterprises for inventory. We are waiting for everyone who loves their city and wants to make it better!" he added. The mayor also noted that the city is continuing a month of improvement that began on April 5. Nearly 15,500 people have already participated. "During this time, more than 9,000 cubic meters of garbage have been removed, 9 dumps have been eliminated, and about 9.2 million square meters of lawns have been cleaned of debris. 23 children's and sports playgrounds have been repaired. Pothole repairs have been completed on almost 2,000 square meters of roads. Everything planned is being executed," Yuri Shalabaev reported on the results.
