The application process for the "Entrepreneur of the Year" competition has started in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

It is held as part of the state program "Development of Entrepreneurship in the Nizhny Novgorod Region." Applications can be submitted until April 19, 2026. "The main goal of the 'Entrepreneur of the Year' competition is to encourage the best representatives of the business community in the region. When selecting the winner, the growth of the average monthly salary, the dynamics of the average number of employees, revenue growth, productivity, the volume of state financial and property support, and a number of other parameters are taken into account. The award allows for the assessment of the financial, social, and public impact of companies' work over the year," said Maxim Cherkasov, Minister of Industry, Trade and Entrepreneurship of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. Since 2019, the competition has been held in accordance with the goals and objectives of the federal project "Small and Medium Entrepreneurship." During this time, more than 1,400 applications have been submitted, and 129 organizations, 35 individual entrepreneurs, and 16 self-employed individuals have become winners. This year, awards will be presented in seven nominations: "Efficiency and Development in Production," "Efficiency and Development in the Agro-Industrial Complex," "Efficiency and Development in Services," "Efficiency and Development in Trade," "Best IT Project," "Business Start," and "Best Organization Supporting Business."
