Filming has begun in the USA for a series starring Mark Eidelshtein in the lead role.

      On April 15, 2026, at 10:59 AM, Culture and Leisure: Filming for the second season of the Amazon series "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" (18+) has officially resumed in Los Angeles. One of the lead roles will be played by Nizhny Novgorod native Mark Eidelshtein.

      As reported by Deadline, the project was previously put on hold due to a change in the showrunner. The first season of "Mr. and Mrs. Smith," which premiered in 2024, told the story of two strangers who get jobs at a mysterious spy agency. They are offered new identities and a fake marriage, along with dangerous missions, a luxurious life, and a constant game on the edge of exposure. Gradually, the professional legend becomes complicated by real feelings between the characters.

      The first season of the series received 16 nominations for the Emmy Awards and won two awards. In the second season, viewers will be introduced to a new pair of agents. The role of John Smith has been given to Eidelshtein. His partner will be 23-year-old Talia Ryder, for whom this role will be a television debut. Initially, Sophie Thatcher was considered for the role, but she left the project due to commitments to another series.

      Details of the second season's plot are still under wraps, but it is known that the concept will remain the same.

      In addition to "Mr. and Mrs. Smith," he starred in the biographical drama "Becoming Capa" (18+) and joined the cast of the thriller "Hackers" (18+) with Ivan Yankovsky.
