The caregiver who abused toddlers in the nursery group in Severodvinsk has admitted her guilt.

On April 13, 2026, at 14:20, Incidents In Severodvinsk, investigators conducted an interrogation of a kindergarten teacher suspected of systematically abusing children. This was reported by "KP-Petersburg," citing the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Arkhangelsk region.

During the interrogation, she was unable to clearly explain the reasons for her cruel treatment of the children. Nevertheless, the agency clarified that she admitted her guilt and expressed a willingness to accept punishment.

The 46-year-old woman is currently a suspect. As part of the investigation, the junior teacher (nanny) is also expected to be interrogated, and her actions will be assessed from a legal standpoint.

Information about instances of violence in the nursery group became public after videos were circulated on social media showing the teacher hitting children, grabbing them by the scruff, and throwing them on the floor.

It is believed that these recordings were secretly made by the nanny, who, according to the parents of the affected children, may have incited her senior colleague to engage in cruel behavior. Journalists obtained correspondence in which the woman uses profanity to describe the toddlers and asks her colleague to come to the kindergarten while one of the children is "still alive."

The teacher had worked at the kindergarten for almost six years, and no complaints had been filed against her previously. For the last three months, she had been working two shifts because her colleague went on maternity leave. It is possible that the workload and lack of support led to emotional burnout, which may have affected her behavior. She faces up to three years in prison.

The woman herself has three children, and her eldest son appealed to the public via social media, asking not to take the law into their own hands.

Unfortunately, such situations are not isolated: earlier in the Nizhny Novgorod region, criminal cases were initiated due to abuse of toddlers in kindergartens in Pavlov and Gorodets.
