      Users of the State Services portal from the Nizhny Novgorod region often encounter situations where the system does not recognize the address of a real estate object and does not allow them to obtain the required service. The Nizhny Novgorod Rosreestr has prepared clarifications and proposed a simple algorithm of actions that helps eliminate this problem and receive electronic services without delays.

      The agency notes that the message "address cannot be recognized" is most often related to incorrect display or absence of the address in federal databases. Because of this, the State Services portal cannot correctly match the information about the real estate object and provide the requested service, such as an address certificate. Rosreestr specialists recommend proceeding step by step, following three sequential steps.

      The first step is to check the information in the Federal Information Address System. Citizens are advised to visit the website fias.nalog.ru and ensure that their object with the cadastral number is present in the FIAS. This system serves as a state register of addresses, and if the required object is not there, the State Services portal will physically be unable to recognize the entered data.

      If the address is absent in FIAS, the next step is to contact the local administration for assigning an address. This can be done either in person or remotely by submitting an application through State Services and selecting the appropriate service for assigning an address to the real estate object. After the information is entered into the address register, the problem of incorrect recognition usually disappears.

      It also happens that the object is found in FIAS, the address is officially assigned, but the error on State Services persists. In this case, as explained by the agency, the reason may be a discrepancy between the data in the Federal Address System and the Unified State Register of Real Estate.

      "If the address is in the FIAS register, but the service does not see it, then the information about the object in the EGRN needs to be updated. To do this, it is necessary to send a request to Rosreestr through the feedback form on the State Services portal asking to clarify the information about the address," explained Ekaterina Golovanova, Deputy Head of the Rosreestr Office for the Nizhny Novgorod Region. According to her, after the data synchronization, the recognition error disappears, and the user can obtain the service in the usual manner.

      Rosreestr reminds that information about real estate objects on the State Services portal comes from the "Data Showcase of the EGRN," created as part of the "National Data Management System" project. The information on the portal is updated after the information in the "Rosreestr Showcase" is updated, so citizens are advised to check for changes in their profile on State Services 7-10 days after making corrections in the EGRN.
