Semenovsky "Gorvodokanal" was fined for failing to eliminate environmental violations.

      On April 13, 2026, at 11:10, the Kanavinsky District Court held the Municipal Enterprise "Gorvodokanal" administratively liable. This was reported by the regional office of Rosprirodnadzor. The reason was the failure to comply with the supervisory authority's directive within the established timeframe and the incomplete elimination of previously identified violations. The enterprise services the wastewater treatment facilities in Semyonov, which were reconstructed under the federal project "Health of the Volga." During a 2024 inspection, 19 violations of environmental legislation were discovered at the site. Among them was the discharge of wastewater into the Sanokhta River exceeding the standards. According to the supervisory authority, the enterprise's activities had a negative impact on the water body. The violations also concerned air protection and waste management. As a result of the inspection, the water utility was held accountable and ordered to rectify all identified violations. However, an unscheduled inspection in the spring of 2025 showed that the directive was not fully complied with: 11 points remained unaddressed. For failing to comply with Rosprirodnadzor's requirements, the enterprise was fined under part 38 of article 19.5 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation. In addition, the agency's specialists calculated and recovered damages caused to the water body. Currently, three violations remain under the management's control. The supervisory authority is working to bring the enterprise's activities in line with environmental protection requirements.
