      On April 10, 2026, at 19:43 Society In the Nizhny Novgorod region, investigators have begun an inquiry into the flooding of the gardening association "Kolos" in the Kantaurovsky rural council of the Bor district. This was reported by the regional office of the Investigative Committee. The inquiry is being conducted on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation — "Negligence." According to the agency, the entire territory of the gardening association is under water. The depth of the flooding reaches from 1 to 2 meters, and 180 houses are in the flood zone. At the same time, residents claim that their village is not reflected in the flood reports of the Bor district administration and the Ministry of Emergency Situations. A similar situation, according to local residents, is occurring in other gardening associations along the rivers Linda and Sanda. They suggest that the cause of the large-scale flooding could be excessive water discharge through the dam on the Sanda River near the village of Zinyaki in the Gorodets district.
