There will be more reasons for the deportation of migrants in Russia.

      On April 10, 2026, 07:29 Society In Russia, there are plans to significantly expand the list of grounds for the deportation of foreign citizens. This was stated by the Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin, as reported by 360.ru. He announced that the lower house of parliament will begin reviewing the corresponding bill next week. The initiative was proposed in early March. According to Volodin, 72,000 migrants were expelled from Russia in 2025. The new bill proposes to nearly double the number of offenses for which deportation is provided—from 22 to 43 articles of the Code of Administrative Offenses (CoAP). Volodin noted that among the new grounds for expulsion will be violations such as:

       violation of public order;

       disobedience to lawful demands of law enforcement agencies;

       actions aimed at discrediting the Armed Forces of Russia;

       other offenses.

      Earlier, the State Duma had already adopted in the first reading a government bill that tightens the requirements for labor migrants. According to the new norms, the tax in the form of an advance payment will apply not only to the migrant themselves but also to all members of their family. If the total income of the family is less than the subsistence minimum for each of its members, including the migrant, the patent will be annulled, and the worker will be required to leave the country. Furthermore, the bill stipulates that adult children of migrants must leave Russia if they cannot confirm the legality of their stay in the country. NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" has a Telegram channel.
