April 10, 2026 12:56 Economy The Russian automotive brand Volga will expand its model range with a new crossover, the K40. Sales of the vehicle are planned to begin in the summer of 2026, the company's press service reported. The model will offer two combinations of gasoline engines and transmissions to choose from. The first option is a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with 147 horsepower paired with a 7-speed robotic transmission and front-wheel drive. The second option is a 2.0-liter turbo engine with 200 horsepower, an 8-speed automatic transmission, and all-wheel drive.
Earlier, the company also announced the release of the K50 crossover and the C50 sedan. The production of the vehicles will be handled by JSC "Nizhny Novgorod Passenger Cars." Series production of the models is expected to start in the second quarter of 2026 at the site of the former Volkswagen plant in Nizhny Novgorod.
