      In the Nizhny Novgorod region, a 65-year-old recidivist, Ibrahim Tekuev, was detained. He escaped from a pre-trial detention center 28 years ago and changed his name. This was reported by the Telegram channel SHOT.

      In the 1990s, Tekuev was convicted of robbery, theft, and illegal arms trafficking. In 1998, the convict ended up in the pre-trial detention center No. 1 in the city of Cherkessk. Tekuev and four other inmates managed to escape by sawing through the bars on a window. That same year, three of the fugitives were captured, one died. Tekuev settled in the Nizhny Novgorod region and changed his name.

      "All these years, no one recognized Tekuev, despite the existing alerts and his distinguishing feature – he was missing the middle finger on his right hand. FSIN employees figured out Tekuev's scheme and were able to detain him," the message states. Earlier, we reported that three men were arrested on suspicion of murdering former deputy Saidov in Shakhunya.
