The number of hospitalized patients with norovirus in Uren has increased.

      April 10, 2026 12:15 Society The number of people affected by poisoning in the Uren district has increased — another child has been hospitalized. This was reported to NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" by the regional health ministry. In the infectious department of the local Central District Hospital, there is one adult and six children. The patients' condition is assessed as satisfactory. The first reports of poisoning symptoms began to arrive on April 5. A total of more than 50 cases have been recorded. According to Rospotrebnadzor, the cause was norovirus. All those affected consumed raw tap water. A criminal case has been opened regarding the provision of services that do not meet safety requirements.
