      April 7, 2026 10:26 Society At the Presidential Academy of the National Research University, meetings with representatives of the authorities of the Nizhny Novgorod region continue as part of the "GosStart.Dialog" project. The project is being implemented at the initiative of the director of the Nizhny Novgorod Institute of Management, Ekaterina Lebedeva. Previously, students of the National Research University participated in Open Days at the government of the Nizhny Novgorod region. The career orientation meetings were aimed at motivating students to seek jobs in their specialty – in the state civil service. "This is a unique opportunity to peek behind the scenes of regional politics! The students learned personal success stories and professional development of the governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region – Gleb Sergeyevich Nikitin, as well as heads of several relevant ministries. Not dry facts from biographies, but living examples of how careers are built and the paths people take to reach the top," noted the director of the Presidential Academy of the National Research University, Ekaterina Lebedeva.

      The new project has significantly expanded opportunities for career orientation. In addition to live communication with representatives of the regional authorities, students of the National Research University are presented with the program of paid internships in the regional government, projects of the Youth Career Center of KUPNO.Start, and the GosStart program. The first guest of the National Research University within the framework of the "GosStart.Dialog" project was the Minister of Sports of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Dmitry Kabailo. This time, the meeting with students was conducted by the acting Minister of Human Resources Policy of the regional government, Roman Markov.

      During the open dialogue, Roman Markov spoke about the levels of government in Russia, the mission of the government team, the social portrait of a civil servant, the prospects for development in the civil service, and the corporate culture in government bodies. He mentioned that the main mission of the government team is to serve the people and improve the region, and also asked students what qualities they believe can help in the work of a civil servant. "The civil service is open to youth and offers wide opportunities for development. The government has successfully implemented a system of continuous training for civil servants for several years, allowing them to constantly acquire new competencies. This is an environment where professionals grow. Our specialists participate in the implementation of large-scale projects and have a real opportunity to influence the development of the region," noted Roman Markov.
