"Chinelle No. 2": a woman from Nizhny Novgorod kept dead kittens in the freezer
On April 7, 2026, 10:52 Society A new horrifying story of animal torture has occurred in Nizhny Novgorod. Animal rights activists reported about a local resident who kept the bodies of kittens in her freezer. According to volunteers, the owner took the animals supposedly for temporary care. However, in reality, the cats were in unsanitary conditions: the premises were dirty, there were feces, a strong smell of decay, and the bodies of dead animals were present. During the inspection of the apartment, dead newborn kittens were found in the freezer. They were lying next to food products. The woman claimed that she "didn't have time to bury them." A total of more than 45 living cats were counted in the apartment. So far, activists have managed to rescue only two animals. According to veterinarians, their condition is extremely severe, and the chances of survival are low. Animal rights activists intend to return to try to save the remaining animals. Earlier, we reported about a resident of the Soviet district, nicknamed "the animal torturer in a coat." In the spring of 2025, emaciated animals and the remains of dogs and cats were discovered in his apartment. According to preliminary data, at least ten animals died. Later, investigators found remains in his mother's apartment as well. A criminal case has been initiated against the Nizhny Novgorod resident. He is currently in a psychiatric hospital.
