15 thousand people attended the "Intourmarket" exhibition-forum in Nizhny Novgorod.
On April 7, 2026, at 09:12, Society The XXI International Exhibition-Forum of Hospitality Regions "Intourmarket" was visited by 15 thousand people: tourism industry specialists, representatives of government authorities, and tourists. The event took place at the Nizhny Novgorod Fair from April 2 to 4.
As noted by the Ministry of Tourism of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, the scale of the exhibition confirmed the high demand from society for the development of interregional and international tourism projects.
"It was a great honor for us to host one of the main tourism exhibitions in the country for the second time. The participation of 52 regions and the Republic of Belarus is a vivid example of how the industry unites to create a quality tourism product. More than 100 business and entertainment program events made 'Intourmarket' an effective platform for exchanging experiences and concluding specific cooperation agreements," said Sergey Yakovlev, Minister of Tourism and Crafts of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
For the guests of "Intourmarket," business sessions, route presentations, master classes, educational lectures, and events for children and adults were held. Special attention was paid to the development of the updated "Golden Ring," auto tourism, inclusive tourism, pilgrimage, gastronomic and cultural-historical routes, popular science tourism, eco-tourism, and digital services for travelers.
"It is nice to see that the exhibition is becoming not only a professional forum but also a center of attraction for tourists, who find ideas for their future trips here. We thank the Nizhny Novgorod Region for the partnership and high level of organization," said Olga Khototchkin, Director of the International Exhibition-Forum of Hospitality Regions "Intourmarket."
During the exhibition-forum, the new season of the educational program "Higher School of Hospitality of Rosatom" was launched. The first training module took place at the Nizhny Novgorod Fair. 78 representatives of urban teams, together with leading experts in tourism and branding, developed the positioning of territories and studied the tourism market. A total of 439 applications were received for the "Higher School of Hospitality of Rosatom" from 29 cities in Russia and Abkhazia.
"This year, for the launch of the educational program 'Hospitable Cities of Rosatom,' we chose Nizhny Novgorod - the capital of the region where the closed administrative-territorial formation Sarov is located. Integration into 'Intourmarket' helped participants feel connected to the field of tourism and hospitality, get acquainted with the market, and look at their cities and their opportunities in a new way. Nizhny Novgorod itself is an encyclopedia of hospitality, where at every step you can get acquainted with the best examples of tourism product implementation. Therefore, the new format of participation in the industry exhibition as a full-fledged educational module proved to be an effective immersion tool," said Vita Saar, head of the "Hospitable Cities of Rosatom" program.
The forum featured stands from many Russian regions, including Moscow.
"Moscow is one of the few megacities in the world where hundred-day city festivals take place. Thanks to a rich event agenda and the comprehensive work of the Moscow Government to improve urban infrastructure, the number of tourists in the city is constantly growing: last year, the capital was visited by 26.5 million people. Together with other regions of the country, the capital is developing the potential of domestic tourism: for five years we have been implementing the 'Moscow+' concept, including since 2022 we have been implementing a project with Nizhny Novgorod. Three interregional routes are available for tourists, featuring both beloved attractions and unusual locations for recreation," said Bulat Nurmukhanov, Deputy Chairman of the Moscow City Tourism Committee.
The Ministry of Tourism and Crafts of the Nizhny Novgorod Region noted that holding such exhibitions contributes to promoting travel across Russia. This is one of the areas of work within the framework of the national project "Tourism and Hospitality."
The national project "Tourism and Hospitality," initiated by Russian President Vladimir Putin, is the successor to the national project "Tourism and Hospitality Industry." Its implementation aims to develop tourism infrastructure, produce domestic products for the industry, and train personnel for the sector.
