Police conducted operational-search activities and established that two residents of Dzerzhinsk frequently approached the MFC with applications for registering migrants for migration accounting, reports the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod region. Both indicated their residential rooms as the place of residence for citizens from one of the neighboring republics. As a result of the inspection, it turned out that no foreigners had ever lived at these addresses, and no one had any such plans. This entire story was initially a fiction and simply a way to obtain money without much effort. Now the enterprising room owners are under a travel ban. They could face up to two years of imprisonment.
