Pregnant women from Nizhny Novgorod are invited to an informational and educational lecture series.

      April 2, 2026 10:07 Society Residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region who are preparing for the birth of a baby are invited to the VII informational and educational lecture series "Spring Vernissage." The event will take place on April 7 in the "Lux" conference hall of the "Oka" congress center (Nizhny Novgorod, Gagarin Ave, 27). The meeting will be one of the events of the "Children's Health Week" in the region and will be timed to coincide with the celebration of the All-Russian Day of Pregnant Women.

      The organizer of the lecture series is traditionally the maternity hospital No. 4 of Nizhny Novgorod. Future mothers will be able to spend the day among like-minded individuals, and most importantly, they will have the opportunity to ask questions to specialists in the field of motherhood and childhood in a personal communication format. The event is also open to future fathers, who can support their wives and also gain useful information and skills for themselves.

      Guest registration will begin at 12:00, and the official opening of the lecture series is scheduled for 13:00. The program will combine educational and practical components. Two comfortable halls will be available for guests, where practicing doctors from the maternity hospital will discuss the most relevant topics: breastfeeding, the peculiarities of caring for a newborn in the first days at home, nuances of childbirth, including cesarean section, as well as support measures provided for families in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      During the event, the all-Russian action "Two Hearts" and a dance flash mob for future mothers will take place. Special attention will be given to master classes: guests will learn about basic infant care, baby massage, special gymnastics for pregnant women, and the fundamentals of successful breastfeeding. Additionally, throughout the day, a special area will be organized for free communication between women and doctors from the maternity hospital.

      The festive atmosphere will be created by a photo zone with a professional photographer and memorable prizes. One of the participants will have the chance to receive a contract for childbirth as a gift. The organizers encourage Nizhny Novgorod women to support the idea of a floral dress code for the event – the most feminine and original outfit will be awarded a separate prize.

      The regional health ministry reminded that events to support motherhood and childhood are held as part of the national project "Family." Participation in the lecture series is free, and pre-registration is open on the website: https://shkolamam.online/lecture7.

      Let us remind you that the national project "Family" has been in effect in the country since 2025 by the order of the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin.
