Nizhny Novgorod airport urgently accepted 10 flights heading to Moscow.

      April 3, 2026 10:24 SocietyNizhny Novgorod International Airport "Chkalov" is receiving planes that were heading to Moscow. This is due to temporary restrictions on the acceptance and departure of aircraft at the capital's aviation hub.

      The Nizhny Novgorod air harbor is being used as the main backup airport for the Moscow direction. So far, 10 flights have already landed here.

      By the decision of the crews, passengers are either on board the planes or in the terminal building. Airline representatives are working with them, and food and drinks are being provided.

      Passengers in the terminal are advised to pay attention to announcements over the loudspeaker and information on the online display.

      It was previously reported that four flights are delayed from the Nizhny Novgorod airport.
