The legend of Nizhny Novgorod dance sports, Tatyana Sivers, has passed away.
On April 2, the well-known Nizhny Novgorod sports dance coach Tatiana Borisovna Sivers passed away. Her death was reported by the Ministry of Sports of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
Tatiana Sivers was a legend of dance sports in Russia, an outstanding educator, mentor, and organizer. She was a sports judge of all-Russian and international categories, an Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation, a Distinguished Educator of the Russian Federation, and also a recipient of the Honorary Certificate from the President of the Russian Federation.
For over 50 years, Tatiana Borisovna led the dance sports club "Yunost" without interruption, raising more than one generation of athletes and making a significant contribution to the development of dance sports.
Among her students are international class couples: Alexander Gromov and Evgenia Shelyubskaya, Sergey and Maria Penin, Elena Roshchina and Igor Bronnikov, Dmitry and Irina Filianushkin.
"A special place in her activities was occupied by the organization of the International Dance Sports Competition 'Russia,' which has a history of over 30 years. Thanks to her energy, professionalism, and dedication to the cause, these competitions became a significant event in the world of dance sports," the agency noted.
