The body of a woman was found among the rubble of debris in a burned apartment in Vorotynets.

      On March 31, 2026, at 17:23, Incidents: A fire occurred in the working village of Vorotynets in the Nizhny Novgorod region, claiming the life of a woman. This was reported by the press service of the regional Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

      The fire broke out in a three-story residential building, and four fire crews were dispatched to combat the flames. Rescuers were able to localize and extinguish the fire over an area of 12 square meters, preventing its spread to neighboring premises.

      During the inspection of the incident site and the clearing of debris that had buried the apartment, the body of the apartment's owner, a 63-year-old woman, was found on the floor of one of the rooms.

      According to preliminary assessments, the cause of the fire was non-compliance with the rules for operating electrical equipment. A detailed investigation is currently underway to establish all the circumstances of the incident.

      It is worth noting that on March 31, a fire occurred in a residential building on Taganskaya Street. When the fire was extinguished, the bodies of a man and a woman were found in the apartment. A criminal case has been initiated regarding this incident.
