      March 31, 2026 13:57 Society More than 3 tons of fish, meat, and dairy products were identified in the Nizhny Novgorod region, being transported in violation of veterinary requirements. This was reported by the press service of the interregional office of Rosselkhoznadzor. In the first quarter of 2026, there were 14 joint patrols by specialists from Rosselkhoznadzor and employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate at stationary traffic police posts. A veterinary inspection was conducted on 206 vehicles transporting animal products. Inspectors paid special attention to the presence and correctness of electronic veterinary accompanying documents, as well as checking QR codes in the "Mercury" system. As a result, 12 violations were recorded. Among them were the transportation of products without properly issued veterinary documents and the presence of veterinary accompanying documents with unreadable or incorrect QR codes, making it impossible to trace the goods. The total weight of the detained products exceeded 3 tons. Measures were taken against the owners of the cargo and carriers in accordance with current legislation. Following the events, eight warnings were issued regarding the inadmissibility of violations of mandatory veterinary requirements. In addition, six informational letters were sent to the executive authorities of the subjects of the Russian Federation and other interested agencies.
