The Nizhny Novgorod KSP identified violations during the repair of the NODKB amounting to 8.8 million rubles.

      March 31, 2026 15:26 Society The Audit Chamber of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, during an inspection of the effectiveness of their spending on the construction and repair of healthcare facilities, identified violations and ineffective use of budget funds. This was reported by the press service of the regional Audit Chamber. The inspection, conducted from January 2022 to March 2025, covered the activities of the Ministry of Health of the Nizhny Novgorod Region and the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Children's Clinical Hospital (NODKB). According to the Audit Chamber's report, as of March 31, 2025, 99 medical devices had been put into operation; however, the major renovation of the complex of buildings of the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Children's Clinical Hospital has not yet been completed. During the inspection, it was found that the cost of the completed work was inflated by about 2.46 million rubles. Ineffective use of budget funds amounting to 6.32 million rubles was also identified. In addition, violations were discovered in the hospital regarding the provision of government contracts and delays in payment for completed work. A request has already been sent to the institution by the Audit Chamber demanding the elimination of the identified deficiencies. It should be noted that in 2025, the premises of the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Children's Clinical Hospital were flooded due to the negligence of the contracting organization. These incidents occurred in May and December. As previously reported, 1.65 billion rubles are planned to be allocated from the regional budget for the major renovation of NODKB and equipping it with modern medical equipment in 2026.
