In Dzerzhinsk, police officers shut down the activities of an illegal business conducting porn broadcasts on the Internet.

      Employees of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Dzerzhinsk, with the support of special forces fighters from the National Guard of the Nizhny Novgorod region, during operational-search activities identified and suppressed the activities of a group of individuals who organized an illegal business for the production and broadcasting of pornographic materials. It was established that the offenders organized a network of specialized studios. During searches conducted in several apartments used for illegal purposes, police discovered five rooms intended for streaming. Each room was equipped with professional equipment for high-quality recording and broadcasting of video: monitors, professional lighting devices, high-resolution webcams, as well as specialized interior items. Two previously unconvicted local residents aged 31 and 33 were detained on suspicion of organizing illegal activities. Six model girls were also detained. According to operational data, the models performed erotic and pornographic actions live for a percentage of the monetary rewards received from users of foreign internet resources. The investigative department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Dzerzhinsk has initiated a criminal case on the grounds of a crime provided for in paragraph "b" of part 3 of article 242 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal production and circulation of pornographic materials or items committed using information and telecommunications networks, including the Internet). A preventive measure in the form of detention was chosen by the court for the 33-year-old female organizer, while her accomplice was subjected to a ban on certain actions. Police officers are conducting a range of activities aimed at establishing possible accomplices, as well as other facts of illegal activities of the individuals involved. The sanction for the charges against the employees of the webcam studios under the article provides for a maximum punishment of up to 6 years of imprisonment.
