Another slope "slid" in the Nizhny Novgorod region

      March 31, 2026 15:55 Society In Nizhny Novgorod, due to severe soil over-saturation, another landslide has been recorded on one of the slopes - this time, on Odessa Street in the Nizhny Novgorod district - under the under-construction buildings of the IT campus "Neimark." As reported by the press service of the city administration, representatives of the Nizhny Novgorod district administration and specialists from the territorial engineering protection department promptly arrived at the scene. Following an inspection, experts determined that there was no danger to traffic. Work will begin soon to restore the damaged slope to ensure safety and prevent further soil deformation. Recall that on the afternoon of March 27, a landslide occurred there. Part of the soil blocked the passage, and workers began to clear the road promptly. Later, it became clear that there was a threat of new landslides. Specialists began to inspect the slope, and following discussions with experts, it was decided to forcibly remove the unsecured soil.
