The service dog picked up the trail of the murderer of former deputy Minkail Saidov.

      March 28, 2026 11:59 Incidents Law enforcement agencies are investigating the murder of 60-year-old former deputy from Shakhunya Minkail Saidov.

      The man's body was discovered on the morning of March 26 in his cottage on Komsomolskaya Street. A report of the incident was received at the duty station around 10:00, clarified the press service of the regional Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

      An investigative operational group arrived at the scene without delay. According to preliminary data, the man died as a result of a gunshot wound.

      A service search dog was involved in the search for the suspect. It picked up a trail and led the operatives to the nearest road, where it ended.

      Despite this, forensic experts managed to find a number of physical evidence along the presumed route of the perpetrator's escape.

      Saidov's daughter-in-law Darya linked his murder to the death of her husband. The investigation is also considering the version that both crimes may be connected.
