The level of tips in restaurants remains stable. At the same time, record tips were recorded on February 13 and have already surpassed the entire year of 2025. In February and March, Russians left tips more often in cafes (+10%) and bars (+30%) compared to the same period in 2025. The peak occurred on February 14 and March 8. The average tip check on February 14 increased by 8.6%. On Valentine's Day, the number of tips in restaurants (+12%), bars (+30%), and cafes (+31%) also increased. On March 8, the average check for tips left for waiters also rose by 10.4%. Record tips in 2025 occurred in May and exceeded 121,000 rubles. In 2026, this benchmark was surpassed by customers of one restaurant on the evening of February 13, leaving over 160,000 rubles as a thank you for the service.
