Residents of Nizhny Novgorod villages can take a survey on the demand for home internet.

      March 24, 2026 13:46 Society The Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation has extended the deadlines for surveying residents of Nizhny Novgorod villages and settlements about the demand for high-speed home internet until April 30, 2026. Thus, the agency will be able to assess the real demand for this service in areas where the government has already created basic communication infrastructure, but home internet remains unavailable. The survey will provide relevant agencies with additional understanding of which areas of the region have a particular need for internet access. The voting includes villages and settlements in the region with a population of less than one thousand people, where fiber-optic lines have already been laid for connecting schools, hospitals, or for providing mobile communication. To participate in the survey, a verified account on the "Gosuslugi" portal will be required. The locality can be selected from the list regardless of the place of registration. To vote, you need to go to the Feedback Platform and log in through "Gosuslugi," select the region and locality from one of two lists: https://pos.gosuslugi.ru/lkp/polls/568138/ and https://pos.gosuslugi.ru/lkp/polls/588856. Then you should specify the exact address of your household and indicate your willingness to sign a contract with the communication operator if home internet is provided. Participating in the voting is not an application for connection and does not obligate residents of the region to anything — it is solely a way to express the need for home internet. The more votes a locality receives, the higher the likelihood that it will have the opportunity to connect to home internet.
