"United Russia" is ready to achieve the goals of the 2026 election campaign.

"United Russia" has entered the active phase of conducting preliminary voting, and all its infrastructure is ready for the election campaign, noted Vladimir Yakushev at a meeting of the party's General Council.

As of today, 1,709 candidates have already registered for the preliminary voting of "United Russia" at all levels of elections, including 506 for the State Duma elections. Among all applicants, 81 are participants in the special military operation. "We can say that the competition will be quite serious," he said.

Special support measures are provided for veterans of the special military operation in the 2026 election campaign, which will apply to elections at all levels. For example, they take into account the specifics of the candidates' service—primarily the inability to be present in person when submitting documents. Each participant in the special military operation must have a mentor. Moreover, the support for candidates will continue even after receiving the mandate. The norm of an additional 25% to the number of votes received is maintained in the preliminary voting.

Vladimir Yakushev believes that strengthening the primary and local branches of "United Russia" will help ensure support for the party in the 2026 elections. In addition, over the past five years, the number of members of "United Russia" has increased by 300,000 people—now there are 2.653 million, with supporters increasing by more than 300,000 (938,000). 200,000 people are activists of the Young Guard of United Russia. More than 250,000 are activists of the Women's Movement of United Russia. "To achieve the result we want, 30 million people must vote for 'United Russia.' If our active members, whom we are intensively 'training,' work as a monolith, we will already have about 12 million people who must unconditionally come to the polling stations and cast their votes (for the party—editor's note)," he explained.

Vladimir Yakushev also reported that more than 16,000 proposals have been received for the new People's Program of "United Russia." The collection is taking place on the website yestresult.rf. The party is also organizing offline platforms in 16 cities, each with more than 600,000 voters. "This is an opportunity for citizens to discuss their initiatives and make the collection process lively. The program has the status of a people's program, so the collection of proposals should take place in all possible formats," he emphasized.

The head of the party's faction in the State Duma, Vladimir Vasilyev, stated that the "United Russia" faction is the legislative support of the President in parliament. Its key task is to implement the instructions of the Head of State based on the results of the party congresses, messages to the Federal Assembly, meetings of the State Councils, and direct lines. He focused on the specific results of the party's work in this direction, including legislative support for social assistance to citizens, regional development, infrastructure, education, and other areas.

Participants in the reporting and program forums of "United Russia" "There is a result!" presented proposals developed at these forums for the new People's Program of the party to the General Council.

Thus, the chairman of the Interregional Union "Club of Young Industrialists," Anton Kovalyov, stated that the proposals from forum participants were maximally systematic. Inventor engineer Alexey Kuchmin added that the initiatives of residents should become specific measurable goals and look like a real action plan. In turn, the deputy general director of VGTRK, military correspondent, Hero of Russia Evgeny Poddubny, stated that everything declared in the People's Program of "United Russia" should be implemented in terms of supporting participants of the special military operation. He summarized the initiatives of two district reporting and program forums "There is a result!" in this area, noting priority employment issues for fighters, adaptation, and the creation of jobs for people with disabilities, retraining courses with guaranteed employment. Special attention is given to the accessibility and comfort of housing. "How we meet the participants of the special military operation largely determines who we are. So let's meet them with dignity and respect, as true Heroes," concluded the war correspondent.

In conclusion, the secretary of the General Council emphasized that the task of "United Russia" is to organize the election campaign in an orderly manner. "We have something to say—about what we have done over these five years. The most important thing is to hold as many meetings with voters as possible, talk about problems and achievements, and listen to criticism," he concluded.

In the Nizhny Novgorod region, candidates from the party have high chances of winning both in the State Duma elections and in the Legislative Assembly. Significant prerequisites for this have been created by the large-scale work already carried out. The region is among the leaders in interaction with local branches, and the regional grant project "Primary Good Deeds" is being implemented. Systematic work with primary branches allows collecting the most relevant information from citizens and responding promptly to residents' requests. Such close ties strengthen the authority of "United Russia" among voters.

The increase in the level of trust in the party from the residents of Nizhny Novgorod is confirmed by statistics: the number of its supporters in the region is almost 16,000 people. In 2025, 790 people became members of "United Russia." The active membership has grown to 41,000. This is a powerful support.

Serious work has been done in the region to collect proposals for the updated People's Program. At the regional forum "There is a result," a resolution with proposals from the Nizhny Novgorod region was adopted, which will be included in the updated People's Program of the party at the federal level. "Preliminary voting is the most important stage of preparation for the elections, which allows us to hear the opinion of voters and select the most deserving candidates. 'United Russia' remains the only party that gives citizens the opportunity to participate directly in forming the lists of their representatives. We are confident that the open and competitive procedure will allow the residents of Nizhny Novgorod to make an informed choice," noted Dmitry Filipenko, the head of the regional executive committee of the party "United Russia."

Recall that all registered voters in the regions can participate in the preliminary voting of "United Russia." The procedure is organized in electronic format with verification through State Services.

For several years, "United Russia" has supported the fighters of the special operation during the preliminary voting. For candidates among participants and veterans of the special military operation, an additional 25% is added to the results in electronic preliminary voting.

This year, the nomination of candidates started on March 11 and will last until April 30. Voter registration will begin on April 20 and end on May 29. The preliminary voting itself will take place from May 25 to May 31. NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" has a Telegram channel.
