The ice crossing between Nizhny Novgorod region and Chuvashia has closed.

This was reported by the press service of the regional Ministry of Emergency Situations. Prohibitory signs have been installed at the entrances to the river, and the barriers have been lowered. In addition, an additional obstacle has been created on the left bank — a snow rampart, which excludes the possibility of driving onto the ice. Rescuers urge residents to take precautions and not to go onto the fragile ice, as well as not to drive onto it with vehicles.
