March 23, 2026 17:38 Economy The Arbitration Court of the Nizhny Novgorod Region will consider the application for declaring entrepreneur Dmitry Arjanov bankrupt. The energy supply company LLC "NES" has filed this claim with the court. According to the court records, the amount of claims from LLC "NES" against Dmitry Arjanov is 200 million rubles. Dmitry Arjanov was arrested in the fall of 2020 along with the top management of "TNS Energo". The investigation accused them of creating an organized criminal community and fraudulent embezzlement of funds from "Rosseti". By that time, the energy supply group had accumulated billions in debts to the network company for electricity transportation services. Currently, the criminal case against Dmitry Arjanov is being heard by the Tver District Court of Moscow. Along with Arjanov, the case involves former CEO of the "TNS Energo" group Sergey Afanasyev, his wife and former deputy Sofia Afanasyeva, as well as former executive director of "TNS Energo Nizhny Novgorod" Boris Shchurov. The trial in this case began at the end of 2023. According to the investigation, the damage caused to PJSC "Rosseti Center" and "Rosseti Center and Volga Region" amounted to 14.5 billion rubles. The defendants do not admit guilt in the embezzlements. It should be noted that the arrested houses and land of Arjanov are up for auction for 52 million rubles.
