      In Nizhny Novgorod, doctors are sounding the alarm over a new cosmetic procedure that is rapidly gaining popularity on social media. According to the Telegram channel "Bokal presseka," this concerns skin rejuvenation injections, the safety of which raises significant doubts among medical professionals.

      The basis of the new trend lies in polydesoxyribonucleotides (PDRN), which are derived from salmon DNA. Proponents of the method claim that it will trigger healing processes in the skin and collagen production. But there is a serious "but." The drug has a protein nature, which means it requires particularly thorough purification. If the manufacturer has not removed excess impurities, the injection can result in Quincke's edema, which often leads to fatal outcomes.

      Plastic surgeon Nadezhda Rozhdestvenskaya points out two circumstances that should alert anyone considering this procedure. First, no serious clinical studies confirming the effectiveness of this method have been conducted. In addition, any drug injected under the skin must have a registration certificate in Russia. If it does not, the procedure turns from treatment into a dangerous experiment on oneself. Let us recall that in the pursuit of a beautiful body, a woman from Nizhny Novgorod underwent 17 plastic surgeries, five of which led to serious complications, leaving her completely without breasts.
