The All-Russian Conference "Tribune of Young Lawyers" was held at the Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration.

      March 20, 2026 13:26 Society The conference has been held since 2021, and this time it gathered more than a hundred participants, including from Belgorod, Saratov, Vladimir, and Arzamas. The following universities were represented: National Research University Higher School of Economics, Belgorod Law Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, Nizhny Novgorod Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, Saratov National Research State University, Vladimir Branch of the Presidential Academy, Volga Branch of the Russian State University of Justice, Arzamas Branch of N.N. Lobachevsky Nizhny Novgorod State University.

      "Over the five years of the conference, a certain format has already been established, and traditions have been laid down, which are now continued by a new generation of young scientists, students, and postgraduates. It is pleasant that the youth is participating in the conference. This is the future of science. This year, participants from six universities in the country aim to develop competencies in critical thinking and scientific knowledge of the world. All of this will form the basis for the training of future professional lawyers, and ultimately, the legal foundation of our country," said the director of the National Research University Higher School of Economics, Ekaterina Lebedeva. The deputy director of the Nizhny Novgorod Institute of Branches, Sergey Yashin, noted that participation in such a conference is the first step towards a scientific career. "We encourage students to participate in scientific projects. A council of young scientists and specialists from our institute has been created, and grants for studying in graduate school are provided for gifted students. So go ahead, propose, research, develop – all opportunities are available for this!" emphasized Sergey Yashin. The speakers presented at 4 sections:

       Current issues of constitutional, administrative, and municipal law (the largest number of presentations, 54)

       Criminal law and criminological support for crime prevention

       Current issues of civil legislation

       State and law: problems of theory and history

      Participants chose the most relevant topics. For example – copyright and generative artificial intelligence. According to the speaker, one of the most reasonable solutions is to classify machine-generated works as "Public Domain." But there are pitfalls here as well, for example – this could sharply reduce the income of IT companies. Information security in Russia, anti-corruption measures, dropper schemes (mediating in fraudulent schemes), domestic violence – all these topics resonated at the conference and prompted additional questions to the speakers. "All presentations were accompanied by active and fruitful discussions, and at the end of the conference, a final discussion was held. Overall, I note the high level of preparedness and involvement of students, master's students, and postgraduates in the scientific field, as well as the high level of reports," summarized the dean of the law faculty, candidate of legal sciences, associate professor of the National Research University, Natalia Kiryushina.
