These and other questions from high school students of Lyceum No. 87 were answered during the excursion to the 110 kV "Strelka" substation by the head of the production and technical group of the Central High Voltage District of Electric Networks of the branch "Rosseti Center and Volga Region - Nizhnevenergo" Evgeny Borodin. Before entering the substation building, the students underwent strict instructions. Electric current, despite the visible silence and tranquility around it, is very dangerous. One must always be vigilant near energy infrastructure facilities. The 10th-grade students of Lyceum No. 87, as part of the "Energy Circles" projects of the "Rosseti" Group and the "Russian Engineering School. We are Engineers!" marathon, were shown the main premises, modern equipment, and the very heart of the substation - the power transformer. The students were told that the electricity then goes into the distribution network and transformer substations, where the voltage is reduced to the familiar 380 and 220 volts.

      "Very informative excursion!
