These and other questions from high school students of Lyceum No. 87 were answered during the excursion to the 110 kV "Strelka" substation by the head of the production and technical group of the Central High Voltage District of Electric Networks of the branch "Rosseti Center and Volga Region - Nizhnevenergo," Evgeny Borodin. Before entering the substation building, the students underwent strict instructions. Electric current, despite the visible silence and serenity around it, is very dangerous. One must always be on guard near energy infrastructure facilities.

      The 10th-grade students of Lyceum No. 87, as part of the projects "Energy Circles" by the Rosseti Group and the marathon "Russian Engineering School. We are Engineers!", were taken through the main premises, shown modern equipment, and the very heart of the substation - the power transformer. The students were told that further, the electricity goes into the distribution network and transformer substations, where the voltage is reduced to the familiar 380 and 220 volts.

      "It was a very informative excursion!
