The Canadian Feenstra family, headed by Arend, has completed their two-year residence in the Nizhny Novgorod region. The large family shared their impressions of life in Russia and summed up this period. They originally came to the country with the aim of permanent residence and establishing their own farm, according to "NN.RU Nizhny Novgorod Online."
In early January 2024 the Feenstras flew to Russia, landing at a Moscow airport. Arend posted a photo of that moment on his Telegram channel, recalling the start of their new life stage. "Two years ago we landed in Moscow and began a new life in Russia. Looking back, one can say that over these two years we were received so warmly, we have achieved much and received so many blessings," writes Arend.
The head of the family emphasized that the decision to move proved to be the right one for his household, and he has no regrets about it. He also expressed his expectations regarding the way forward.
In December, the Canadians went to their homeland to meet relatives they had not seen for more than two years. They spent the remainder of their vacation relaxing in the United States.
Recall that on November 15, 2025 the Canadian Feenstra family living in the Nizhny Novgorod region attended a match of the Torpedo hockey club. At that time the head of the family, Arend Feenstra, shared on social media that they were excited at the opportunity to attend the game, praising the friendliness of the local fans.
