      In the Nizhny Novgorod region, police officers seized a car from a 64-year-old resident of the town of Kulebaki who was detained again for driving under the influence of alcohol. This was reported by the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the region.

      The incident occurred at the end of October 2025. The man was driving a Vortex Estina A21 and was traveling along Lesnaya Street. His behavior behind the wheel aroused the suspicion of police, who stopped the vehicle for inspection.

      During their interaction with the driver, the officers noticed clear signs of alcohol intoxication. The man was taken to the police station for further proceedings.

      During the check, it emerged that he had previously been held responsible for a similar violation. In connection with this, a criminal case was opened against the offender under Part 1 of Article 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. This article provides for punishment for driving while intoxicated by a person who has already been subjected to an administrative penalty or has a conviction for a similar offense.

      The offender's car was seized and taken to a specialized impound lot. The criminal investigation is currently ongoing.

      Earlier it was reported that in Dzerzhinsk a drunk driver was caught who was driving a car without a hood and doors.
