On Thursday, January 8, Nizhny Novgorod is expected to see a significant increase in snow cover — forecasts say up to 10 centimeters of precipitation may fall.
According to the city administration's press service, municipal services continue to deal with the aftermath of the snowfall.
During the night, when the intensity of the precipitation decreased, utility workers stepped up street-clearing operations.
And in the morning hours, employees of the municipal enterprises RED, "Center" and "Dorozhnik" began clearing Beketova, Shishkova, Yaroshenko, Kultury, Rodionova and Ilyinskaya streets.
In addition, equipment and workers were sent to clear snow on Oktyabr and Molodezhny avenues.
Recall that more than 7,000 cubic meters of snow have already been removed from the streets of Nizhny Novgorod.
Due to the ongoing snowfall, all management companies and contracting organizations in Nizhny Novgorod have been placed on an enhanced work regime.
